Who are they

International company expanding its presence across Central and South America and is looking for a sales Manager who knows the metering world inside and out. If you’re an electrical engineer who speaks excellent English, understands utilities, thrives on partner management, and doesn’t mind living out of a suitcase two weeks a month, this role is built for you.

What you will do

  • Drive sales growth focus on power quality and metering solutions throughout Central and South America
  • Manage and develop distributor and partner networks, ensuring strong channel engagement and performance
  • Conduct regular customer and partner visits across the region (minimum of two weeks of travel per month)
  • Identify new opportunities across utilities, energy companies, EPCs, and industrial customers
  • Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions
  • Support distributors with training, pricing, forecasting, and go-to-market activities
  • Provide market intelligence, competition insights, and strategic recommendations
  • Coordinate with global sales, marketing, product, and support teams for seamless customer experience

What are they looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar technical background)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the metering, power quality, or protection industry
  • Proven track record managing distributors and partners in the electrical or energy sector
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written)
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (at least 50 percent)
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working as an independent contractor
  • Ability to establish a personal company for invoicing purposes
  • Familiarity with utility operations, bidding processes, and standards
  • Experience selling into large industrial plants, renewable energy projects, or EPCs
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency (bonus skills)
